Ms. Amy is a certified and licensed Speech Language Pathologist with over 20 years of expertise working with children from birth to 21 years of age with varying needs and abilities in hospital, preschool, outpatient clinic, and home settings. Ms. Amy graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology and a minor in Psychology from Towson University, and earned her Master of Arts in Communication Disorders from Appalachian State in Boone North Carolina.

As a Senior Speech Language Pathologist at Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital , Ms Amy worked with pediatric patients from infancy to late teens with a variety of speech, language, cognitive, and feeding/swallowing needs.  She specialized in brain injury which spanned from inpatient rehabilitation to outpatient and community re-entry groups.  Ms Amy was the lead SLP for a developmental evaluation clinic at Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital.  Ms Amy has worked with the Infants and Toddlers program in Baltimore County and Harford County as well as the Head Start program in Baltimore city.  She values working with other professionals and the child’s family to best meet the child’s individual goals.

Ms. Amy is a Children’s Yoga Teacher.  She teaches classes blending movement, breath, emotional awareness, stories, and imagination at a local Montessori school.  She is certified in Talk Yoga, Growing Up Mindful, and Love Your Brain for Health Professionals.  She plans to incorporate mindfulness and yoga into her sessions to help children reduce speaking anxiety, improve focus, and develop clear, confident communication in a calm environment.
